However, the ruling administration often results to threats against  observers  and polling station agents in an attempt to prevent the public sharing of election results citing the constitutional council as the only competent  body to unveil the results after a lengthy 15 days

Election Day

On Election Day, multiple ELECAM officials and local representatives of the ruling party such as councilors, mayors, DOs, SDOs, Chiefs, Parliamentarian, Senators etc often engage in coordinated ballot stuffing and alteration of vote count.

Post Election

During the lengthly 15 days after election before the final results are proclaimed by the constitutional council, ELECAM officials and local representatives of the ruling party continue coordinated efforts to change the ballot counts from the Election Day in areas that did not favor them or inflating figures to compensate for areas they suffered defeat
